YOGA AND RIVER RAFTING (15
Days )
Another very exciting tour which takes you to the holiest
city of India on way to Rishikesh your camp for the next few days, another
camp at Corbet National park and onwards to Agra Jaipur and Delhi. In
this tour we will teach you the basics of yoga an Indian science developed
some 5000 years ago as a means of attaining union with the absolute being
which today has become the language of self realisation across the world.
We all learn the basics of white water rafting. |

DAY 1 |
|
|
|
| |
Arrival Delhi in the morning. “Namaste” a
warm welcome to India, a sincere greeting with a bow and folded hands.
Transfer to a 5-star hotel in New Delhi. After a short break we embark
on our first journey to discover India. Our introduction to India will
be by a " Rickshaw" ride a mode of transport
used in small towns and in Old Delhi. We head for a guided city tour to
the most interesting sights of the city that is the Red Fort a fort made
of red sand stone which once housed the world famous PEACOCK throne and
the Jama Masjid mosque. Welcome Dinner at the old Hauz Khas village complex
overnight stay at the hotel. |

DAY 2 |

| |
Take
a train or drive to Rishekesh camp on the bank of the ganges. Evening check
in and familiarisation with the surrounding. |
|

DAY 3 |
|
|
|
| |
First
lessons in yoga start. After breakfast lessons in white water rafting.
After lunch day at lesisure to visit nearby villages. Evening drive to
Haridwar to see the magnificant Aarti at Har Ki Pauri the most sacred
place for the Hindus. ( Aarti is the prayer offered at the end of the
day with lit oil lamp accompanied by hypnotic music from the temple orchestra.
These lamps are then released in the river as an offering presenting a
sight as if stars from heaven had descended on to the River. Overnight
at camp..

DAY 4 |
|
|
|
| |
Lessons in Yoga continue along with river
rafting. After the lessons we take a drive to Dehra Dun a nearby small
township Overnight at camp. |

DAY 5 |
|
|
|
| |
Another
lesson in yoga today we try our hand at river rafting we take on the rapids
from 12 km above the camp down to Rishikesh. Lunch at the end of the trail
drive back to camp. Evening at camp with a gala dinner.

DAY 6 |
|
|
|
| |
Today we drive to Corbet National Park we
check into the camp or guest house or hotel/resort in side the park. |
|

DAY 7 |
|
|
|
| |
We
take a drive through the national park . We come across Wild Elephant
herds, spotted deer and other deer family, crocodiles and possibly tiger
or panther. Evening at hotel.

DAY 8 |
|
|
|
| |
We take the road to Agra arriving in Agra
in the evening. |

|

DAY 9 |
|
|
|
| |
The
tour of Agra starts from the famous Sikandra the mouselum built for the
greatest Emperor of the Mughal dynasty Akbar the Great. Followed by Agra
Fort a massive complex with exquisite work on pillars and ceiling. Emperor
Shajahan the builder of Taj was held captive here by his son Emperor Aurangzeb
who usurped the throne. It was from here that Emperor Shahjahn would view
the Taj. From the fort we proceed to the Taj a monument of Love. In the
evening we take to the streets of Agra. Overnight at Agra. |

DAY 10 |

We leave for Jaipur the pink city of the Kachawa
dynasty enroute stopping at the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri built
as the capital in 1571 and abandoned 15 years later when the wells went
dry. Evening check in to the hotel. |

DAY 11 |
|
|
|
| |
A
tour of the city palace, the palace of winds and then proceed to Amber
fort the ancient capital of Jaipur built in the 16th century
by Raja Man Singh in red sandstone and marble. It has some very intersting
apartments like the Sheesh Mahal the glass canopy apartments and Jai Mandir,
Sukh Niwas Baodi etc. The highlight of this trip is the elephant ride
up the ramparts of the fort just like the maharajas did. After this we
visit the Jaigarh fort the armoury of the erstwhile state which houses
the biggest cannon on wheels in the world. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 12 |

| |
Half day sight seeing of the city and its
street. . We leave for Samode after lunch traveling down the national
highway towards Delhi and turning of to Samode to reach Samode in late
evening. Rest of the evening at Leisure to explore the village. |

DAY 13 & 14 |
|
|
|
| |
Today we leave for our camp in the desert
at Mandawa the centre of Shekhawati culture. The Shekhawati region's famous
for its wall frescos the world over. Afternoon at Leisure to explore Mandawa
and its Havelies ( Mansions of mercchants ). In the evening we leave for
the castle for a traditional Dinner served in the manner which was done
for the visiting Maharajas of past. Overnight at the camp. After breakfast
we take a camel safari into the desert lunch on the sand dunes in the
evening return to the camp. Dinner at the camp, overnight at the camp.

We leave for Delhi to catch the flight back
home. |
